Scrappy, is the main man/person that is running the scrap yard. It is a family run business. They accept all types of metals from commercial to household . Scrappy is on had to help you as and when required - he will direct you on want to do. They will setup a account if you will use them on a regular basis but best to ask them to setup a account for you. On a final note, I would advice that they are not competitive on price when it comes to sell your scrap metal to them.

Disappointing to see some of these other reviews - I can scarcely believe their experiences could be SO different to my own. I went along to A1 looking for a new spare wheel for my Renault. Despite the pouring rain, two guys took the time to talk about my issue at hand, explaining various things to me and going so far as to find an option and physically try it on the car, dealing with a myriad of problems as they went. They did it in good spirits, did it thoroughly and absolutely off their own backs. I had fully expected to get a wheel and have to trust it was correct. In the end, no solution fit my hubs and I was left impressed with their honesty; that they hadn’t just tried to up sell me their wheel regardless of suitability. They refit my wheel and refused any offer of payment for their time (and frustrated effort). I had already visited another scrapyard and had been left feeling crappy by their service. Such places can usually be intimidating, especially to non-Car types, so to be spoken to with respect and not to be made to feel stupid made a massive difference - especially as I am on the autism spectrum. If you visit and find them anything other than helpful, interested and genuine, then you may have caught them on a bad day - as we all have - or maybe... The problem is you. I, however, will be back. I can't praise this place highly enough. If it wasn't for them I could've been killed! I was driving a death trap after a reputable company, who I can't yet name, had done some shoddy work and my wheel was about to fall off! Zac and his Dad diagnosed it and fixed it for me quickly and efficiently and at a more than reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend this garage without a minute's hesitation and will go back to them for everything from now on 👍🏻 You can trust them 100%, they are honest and reliable 👍🏻

Sold our car for a good price. However more importantly the car had sentimental value to us. The guy who collected (Mark) was very friendly, understanding and patient. He explained everything clearly and was all round a nice guy. He made the emotional process as easy as possible. Excellent service.
